This dynamic elbow and knee flexion-extension assist is specifically designed to aid therapists in assisting with knee flexion-extension during sit to stand, facilitating walking, and various activities requiring elbow movements. 

This therapy tool can be used by therapists to manually control and facilitate patient elbow and knee flexion - extension during walking, sit to stand, control in standing, other functions in upright postures and various activities requiring elbow flexion-extension.  It can also be used to directly control various shoulder movements.

This therapy tool consists of a well cushioned part that fits over the shin area of patient's leg or the patient's forearm and has many straps for secure comfortable fastening.  Attached to this part is a long upright that is adjustable in height to accommodate the therapist's reach and the patient's leg or arm length.  At the top of the adjustable upright is a T-piece that serves as a handle.  Above the part that would attach to the patient's shin is round, well-cushioned removable attachment that is designed to fit over the patient's patella to protect it and help the knee with extension.

An accessory attachment included with this tool is a horizontal piece that telescopes into the T-piece/handle.  This attachment serves to help position the patient's affected hand during sit to stand and stand to sit practice.  Also on the front of the shin piece is a D-ring for attaching straps or elastic to.  (Elastic not included)  An optional adapted foot slider is available as well, specifically made for fastening elastic to.  click here to order this adapted slider
